Cones are sea snails, belonging to the Conidae family. Cones are predatory shells, shaped like an ice-cream cone. They are known for their patterned colorful shells. Conus Tessulatus is a popular collector shell due to its beautifully patterned lines of white with orange or red triangles. These Conus shells were captured live in tital water off the Philippine coast. Conus Tessulatus species range from southern coast of Japan to the Philippines and as far as new Caledonia off the coast of Australia.
